Image Categories and Glance simplestreams

We use glance simplestreams sync to get updated versions of images on a schedule.

This creates image names like:

auto-sync/ubuntu-noble-24.04-amd64-server-20260705-disk1.img

The names of the images can change when there are updates therefore when using image categories the images sometimes disappear when they have been updated as the previous name no longer exists.

Would it be possible to either regex match the image names or allow them to be selected based on image properties?
